Not every booking is paid in full upfront. WaiverFile supports flexible payment collection so you can take a deposit to hold the reservation and collect the balance when you are ready.
Deposit Options
Configure deposits as a fixed amount or a percentage of the booking total. The customer pays the deposit at checkout, and the remaining balance is tracked automatically. You decide when and how to collect it.
Adjusting Headcount Before Final Payment
For party and group bookings, the final headcount often changes between the time of booking and the event date. Before processing the final payment, you can adjust the number of participants in the admin panel. The system recalculates the balance based on your pricing rules, and you can collect the remaining amount directly or send the customer a payment request link.
Payment Request Emails
Send customers a secure payment link by email to collect the outstanding balance without requiring them to call or come in. The link takes them to a payment page with their booking details and remaining amount pre-filled.
Status History
Every payment transaction against a booking is logged — deposits, adjustments, final payments, and refunds. The full history is visible to your staff in the booking detail view, so there is never any question about what was collected and when.
