Impact Safety Rules and Guidelines

THIS FORM MUST BE COMPLETED TO ATTEND IMPACT EVENTS

To keep everyone safe and accountable, we have a standard set of rules students must abide by.

Communication

  • Each person will have the cell phone #’s of all leaders, and leaders will have each student’s cell phone #.
  • Leaders will have emergency contact #’s for each student’s parent/guardian.
  • Each student with a cell phone should be signed up for Impact Students texts.  See a leader before we depart to make sure you’re signed up.

Groups

  • Students must never be alone.
  • Students must always be in a group of at least two.
  • When in a group of only two, members must be of the same gender (male w/ male, female w/ female).
  • Dating couples should never be alone.
  • All groups must have at least one person in the group with a cell phone.

Buddies/Chaperone Assignments

  • Each student will be assigned a student buddy.
  • It is each student’s responsibility during the duration of the trip to know where their buddy is at all times.
  • Each student will be assigned to an adult leader/chaperone.  Students should stay near their assigned chaperone when the entire Impact group is moving together, and keep them informed of their general whereabouts at other times.

Rally Point

  • At each location we visit, we will establish a Rally Point.
  • The Rally Point serves these purposes:

o   In the event that someone is separated from the group, they should go and stay at the Rally Point.

o   At each location, we will have a Rally Time where we will meet at the Rally Point.  Every person is expected to be at the Rally Point at the Rally Time.

  • At each location, we will also establish location Boundaries (for example, inside of Arena, inside of Mall).  Students should stay within the boundaries of each location.

Behavior

  • Profanity is not allowed.
  • Clothing should be modest.
  • No alcohol or tobacco products allowed.

Medication

  • For multi-day trips, students who have routine medications they need to take, there will be a designated chaperone handling the medications.  Students will have designated times to meet and take their medications.

Students who fail to abide by these guidelines may be suspended from eligibility for the future trips (including Forward Conference).

Past trips have been great, so these guidelines are preventative in nature.  We trust that we won’t have any problems, and everyone will have a super great time.

As a student going on a trip with WCCG Impact, I have read and understand the rules above, and agree to abide by them.  I’ve also reviewed this information with my parent and/or guardian.
