COPYRIGHT LICENSE AND RELEASE FOR STUDENT WORK, NON-STUDENT WORK, UNIVERSITY COLLEGE FACULTY, AND NON-STAFF
For good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency whereof I hereby acknowledge, I grant to Southern New Hampshire University, its affiliates, successors and assigns (“University”) a limited, non-exclusive, perpetual license to copy, publish, perform, create derivative works, incorporate into compilations or collective works, and distribute the work or works submitted by me and/or identified below (including, those created or submitted as part of a University class if I am a student) (collectively, the “Works”) for educational purposes; and for promoting, marketing and advertising University and its educational services worldwide. University may otherwise use the Works, as well as my name, biographical information, recorded voice, or video, photograph, likeness and/or performance in print, online, television, radio, electronic media and all other forms and media now known or hereafter invented. I understand that University may edit, modify, alter, or make derivative works of the Works. University is permitted, although not obligated, to include my name as a credit in connection with such use.
If I am/was a student, to the extent the Works, or any of the information provided by me constitute an education record for the purposes of Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, (20 U.S.C. § 1232g), I hereby consent to the release of this information to the general public for the purposes set forth above. I also (1) acknowledge that this consent shall remain in effect until I revoke it in writing and deliver such writing to SNHU, and (2) understand that any revocation shall not affect SNHU’s use(s) or distribution of the Works prior to receipt of the revocation.
I further release University from any claims that may arise regarding the use of the Works, my image, name, biographical information, performance and/or voice or any information provided by me including, but not limited to, any claims of defamation, invasion of privacy, or infringement of moral rights, rights of publicity or copyright. I acknowledge I have no right of approval or inspection, no claim for compensation arising out of use of the Works, and University is under no obligation to use the Works or any information provided by me.
I certify that I am the owner of the copyright to the Works and that I have not and will not grant any right or restriction that would prevent its use consistent with this license. Except as explicitly indicated on the Works, all aspects of the Work are original to me and have not been copied.
I warrant that I am 18 or older and I understand and agree to the terms and conditions of this release and/or I am the parent or legal guardian of the below listed minor and I have the legal right to consent to, and by signing below, I hereby agree that both the minor and I shall be bind by terms and conditions of this release.
