EQUINE BOARDING AGREEMENT
This Equine Boarding Agreement (“Agreement”) is by and between MAPLE CREST FARM (“MCF”) and [FIRST NAME][LAST NAME] "Boarder" on 05/24/2025.
1. Ownership and Identification of Horse:
The Boarder represents and warrants that the Boarder owns the following Horse, described as follows which shall be subject to this Agreement:

This Agreement shall commence on 05/24/2025 and shall continue month to month until termination.
3. Fee and Deposit.
The agreed upon boarding fee shall be payable on the 1st of each month. If the monthly fee is not paid by the 15th of the month, then a late charge equal to 10% of the boarding fee will be assessed. All fees are based upon a thirty (30) day boarding schedule and shall be pro-rated accordingly. Upon the signing of this Agreement, Boarder shall deposit one month's fee with MCF, which shall be non-refundable.
4. Insurance.
Boarder acknowledges that it is Boarder’s responsibility to insure the Horse. In the event the Horse is insured, Boarder agrees to present proof of insurance to MCF, if requested, and to keep the insurance in effect as long as practicable. If the Horse is not insured, or at some time ceases to be insured, then the Horse will be presumed to have zero (0) value and will at no time be insured by MCF. Therefore, Owner shall bear all risk of loss due to the death, illness or injury to the Horse, unless caused by the negligence of MCF ownership, staff, independent contractor or other authorized personnel. 5. Services.
The Boarding fee includes a stall which shall be mucked daily, turn-out as appropriate, and grain, hay and water. Services which are available at an additional daily charge are as follows:
Medication and/or Supplement administration: $ 10
Medication and supplements shall be provided by Boarder with instructions regarding administration
Bandages applied and changed: $10
Additional services shall be paid with the monthly boarding fee and shall also be subject to the late charge if not paid timely.
6. Horses Physical Condition & Behavior.
Except as provided herein, to the best of Boarder’s knowledge, the Horse subject to this Agreement is disease-free, sound and in good condition. MCF reserves the right to request any veterinary records or proof of vaccinations. Further, MCF reserves the right to not muck the stall or provide a turn-out if the Horse is exhibiting behavior that poses a danger to MCF ownership, staff, visitors and/or the Horse itself. Exceptions to Horse’s satisfactory medical or behavioral condition:
7. Veterinary, Dentist & Farrier Care.
Boarder agrees that all veterinary, dentist and farrier care of Horse shall be provided solely by MCF contracted veterinarians, dentists and farriers, including the administration of all annual customary worming and vaccinations and any other needed services, and further authorizes MCF to contract for any needed services. In the event the Horse develops an illness or injury, MCF agrees to immediately contact an MCF contracted veterinarian, farrier or dentist for treatment and the owner as soon as possible. Owner authorizes MCF to transport the Horse to a veterinarian as needed. The fees and costs for said veterinary, dental or farrier care shall be paid by Boarder with the next monthly boarding fee and shall also be subject to the late charge if not paid timely. Whenever practicable, MCF shall inform Owner of the costs of any medical treatment and receive Owner’s consent before treatment commences. Initial Here
8. Emergency.
Boarder acknowledges that, despite all due care given, an illness or injury to the Horse can occur without warning. In the event the Horse develops an illness or injury, MCF agrees to immediately contact the contracted veterinarian, dentist and farrier, and the Owner as soon as possible. Owner authorizes MCF to transport the Horse to a veterinarian as needed. 9. Prohibited Activities.
Only the Boarder shall be permitted at MCF, whether for visitation or riding, and only during normal business hours. Boarder may bring a guest only after receiving permission from MCF. Boarder shall refrain from the feeding, turn-out, riding, walking, or taking photography or video of any other horses or any other interaction with other horses at MCF without first obtaining permission from MCF. 10. Waiver.
Boarder agrees to execute MCF’s Waiver & Release upon the signing of this Agreement. Initial Here
11. Termination.
Either party may terminate this Agreement upon thirty (30) days’ notice. Any boarding fees or fees for additional services shall be pro-rated as needed. Initial Here
12. Default.
If Boarder breaches this Agreement, including, but not limited to, any provision regarding the payment of the boarding fee, additional services and dental, farrier and veterinary care, then MCF reserves the right to terminate this Boarding agreement. Upon notice of termination, Boarder has fifteen (15) days to remove the Horse or the Horse will be sold at fair market value. 13. Assignment and Transfer.
No party may assign or transfer this Agreement. Initial Here
14. Sale of Horse.
In the event Boarder sells the Horse, then this Agreement shall be terminated and outstanding sums due MCF shall be immediately payable. Initial Here
15. Entire Agreement.
This Agreement contains the entire agreement between the parties. Any modifications or amendments must be in writing. Initial Here
