RANGE RULES, REGULATIONS & WAIVER OF LIABILITY FOR
CROSS HAIRS INDOOR SHOOTING RANGE, LLC

Must be signed and followed by all who enter range to shoot.

  1. GUNS & TARGETS BROUGHT INTO THE RANGE:

    All firearms brought into the range must be completely UNLOADED, a valid CCW permit must be presented for any loaded firearms if you are a conceal carry permit holder. All guns are subject to inspection by the range officer for cleanliness, workability and safety before entering the range. Targets may be brought into the range ONLY if approved by the Range Officer. Numerous targets are available for a reasonable price at Cross Hairs Indoor Shooting Range LLC.

  2. RANGE OFFICER:

    • The Range Officer on duty is in direct charge of the range and all participants at all times.
    • The Range Officer will ban from the range any person handling a firearm in an unsafe or careless manner. The Range Officer may also void membership should such conduct warrant.

     

  3. FIRING LINE PROCEDURE:

    1. Only one loaded gun at a time. No other gun handling behind the firing line.

    2. Make sure your hearing and eye protection is on before entering the range. Take position at the lane assigned to you. Do not change lanes.

    3. The MUZZLE MUST BE POINTED DOWN RANGE AT ALL TIMES.

    4. Rapid firing is allowed with the use of Automatic Weapons. Two-second rule is in effect (2 seconds between rounds) for rifle calibers only.

    5. Targets MUST be set at full distance before shooting (rifle calibers only.)

    6. Shooters must load and unload their own firearms. If a mechanical malfunction occurs, consult the Range Officer.

    7. Only line of sight firing is permitted. (No drawing from the hip or holster.) Keep your finger off the trigger until on target.

    8. When leaving the firing line temporarily, lay the firearm with the muzzle down range and the action open.

    9. Upon completion of shooting session, unload firearm(s) with the action opened, unless it is cased.

    10. "Cease Fire!" means STOP SHOOTING AND STEP BACK from lane.

    11. DO NOT REMOVE JAMMED OR MALFUNCTIONING FIREARMS away from the lane; contact the Range Officer immediately for removal.

  4. VANDALISM:

Any person seen firing at lights, baffles, carriers or any other range property or equipment will have their membership suspended, and will be reported to the proper authorities for appropriate action. Firing at boxes, cups or other objects is prohibited. Only targets authorized by the Range Officer will be permitted. All shooters will be held accountable and will pay for any damage caused, including replacement and installation charges.

5. PERMISSABLE FIREARMS:

ONLY Calibers under 50 BMG will be allowed on the range

Most handguns, except those chambered for centerfire rifle ammunition above 3600 fps, are permitted on the range.

Full automatic firearms are allowed at the discretion of the Range Officer and proper paperwork must be presented in advance. (Pistol calibers only will be allowed.)

Black powder muzzle loading firearms are NOT permitted on range.

Shotguns are allowed at the discretion of the Range Officer. NO PISTOL GRIP NON SHOULDERED SHOTGUNS ALLOWED.  BUCKSHOT/SLUGS ONLY.

All air guns and BB guns are allowed with permission of the Range Officer. For firearms not mentioned here, check with the Range Officer prior to use on the range.

  1. PERMISSABLE AMMUNITION:

    1. Only ammunition BOUGHT AT Cross Hairs is permitted.

    2. Any type ammunition designed for penetrating metal is not permitted.

    3. NO STEEL JACKETED, STEEL SHOT OR STEEL CORE BULLETS permitted.

    4. No tracer, incendiary, armor piercing, gas or explosive ammunition permitted.

  2. FIRING LINE OCCUPANTS:

    1. All persons using the facilities shall be of good character. Appropriate dress is required at all times. Cross Hairs Indoor Shooting Range, LLC is a family-oriented facility and we have the right to refuse service to anyone. Any person with the smell of alcohol on their breath or who appear impaired will be required to leave the facility.

    2. All persons utilizing the range are required to receive, understand and sign the Rules, Regulations and Disclaimer and Waiver of Liability notice.

    3. A responsible adult must accompany persons under twenty-one (21) years of age (handguns only). This adult shall act as a coach and MUST remain with the minor(s) at all times while the minor(s) utilizes the range.

    4. NO FOOD, DRINK, CHEWING TOBACCO, SNUFF OR SMOKING ALLOWED ON THE RANGE.

    5. Only one shooter and coach permitted per firing lane; only one un-cased firearm permitted at the firing lane.

    6. Persons not shooting or coaching are not permitted at the firing line.

    7. No one is permitted forward of the firing line or beyond the rubber area. (NO EXCEPTIONS).

    8. Any equipment or other personal items in/on a shooting lane left unattended are at the owner’s risk. Cross Hairs Indoor Shooting Range, LLC is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

  3. BRASS RETRIEVAL:

    1. ALL RANGE BRASS IS TO BE PUSHED FORWARD OFF OF THE RUBBER.

    2. DO NOT ENTER THE RANGE TO RETRIEVE ANY BRASS.

  4. EYE PROTECTION:

Safety glasses are MANDATORY when entering the range.  Cross Hairs sells eye protection at a reasonable cost and also has eye protection available for rent.

10. HEARING PROTECTION:

Hearing protection is MANDATORY when entering the range. Cross Hairs sells ear protection at a reasonable cost and also has ear protection available for rent. 

IF YOU ARE UNSURE OF ANYTHING, PLEASE ASK THE RANGE OFFICER. WE ARE HAPPY TO HELP IN ANY WAY WE CAN.

By my signature below, intending to be legally bound hereby, the undersigned acknowledges full and complete satisfaction by Cross Hairs Indoor Shooting Range LLC, (CHISR) of all claims, demands, damages and liabilities based on my participation at CHISR; waives, cancels, remises and forever discharges any obligation or liability of CHISR for any claim based on my participation at the shooting range and agrees and does hereby absolutely agrees and does hereby absolutely and unequivocally release from any liability and hold harmless Cross Hairs Indoor Shooting Range, LLC and any of its employees, instructors, agents, representative, officers, or members of the board in regard to any use of the property or facilities of CHISR.

This release is for any and all liability for personal injuries (including death) and property losses or damage occasioned by, or in connection with any activity or accommodations on CHISR property. The undersigned further agrees to abide by all rules and regulations of CHISR and agrees to pay for any and all damages caused by the firearms they bring or rent and ammunition, vehicle or self and/or guests. I further understand that shooting can be dangerous and will at all times exercise safe gun handling practices. I agree to indemnify CHISR from and against any and all manner of claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, costs or expenses of any nature or kind whatsoever, including attorney fees and court costs, which may now or hereafter be sustained, suffered or incurred by CHISR, as a result or any claims asserted by me or by any other member or guest as a result of my participation at Cross Hairs Indoor Shooting Range, LLC.

For any shooter under 18 years of age (minor status for rifle use) or under 21 years of age (minor status for handgun use), the CHISR Liability Waiver MUST be signed by the parent or legal guardian accompanying the minor while shooting.

MINOR RELEASE OF LIABILITY FORM

  • Minors are only permitted on the range with Parent/Legal Guardian.

  • No more than two (2) minors per visit (no more than one (1) minor in a firing line with parent or guardian at any time).

  • The member or paid user is responsible for the conduct of the minor and must enforce all Range and Safety Rules.

 

WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT

1. In consideration for receiving permission to utilize the GUN RANGE: I hereby release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue Cross Hairs Indoor Shooting Range, LLC, its officers, servants, agents and employees (hereinafter referred to as "Releasees") from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or relating to any loss, damage or injury, including death, that may be sustained by me, or to any property belonging to me, whether caused by the negligence of the Releasees, or otherwise, while utilizing the GUN RANGE or upon the premises.

2. I am fully aware of risks and hazards connected with being on the premises and utilizing the GUN RANGE, and I am fully aware that there may be risks and hazards unknown to me connected with being on the premises and utilizing the GUN RANGE, and I hereby elect to voluntarily utilize the GUN RANGE, to enter upon the above- named premises and engage in activities knowing that conditions may be hazardous, or may become hazardous or dangerous to me and my property. I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks of loss, property damage or personal injury, including death, that may be sustained by me, or any loss or damage to property owned by me, as a result of my utilizing the GUN RANGE, whether caused by the negligence of Releasees or otherwise.

3. I further hereby agree to indemnify and save and hold harmless the Releasees and each of them, from any loss, liability, damage or costs they may incur due to my utilization of the GUN RANGE, whether caused by the negligence of any or all of the Releasees, or otherwise.

4. It is my express intent that this Release shall bind the members of my family and spouse, if I am alive, and my heirs, assigns and personal representative, if I am deceased, and shall be deemed as a Release, Waiver, Discharge and Covenant Not to Sue the above-named Releasees.

In signing this release, I acknowledge and represent that:

A. I have read the foregoing release, understand it, and sign it voluntarily as my own free act and deed;

B. No oral representation, statements or inducements, apart from the foregoing written agreement, have been made;

C. I am at least twenty one (21) years of age and fully competent; or I am under the supervision of a fully competent adult;

D. If I am under the age of eighteen (18) years of age, I MUST AT ALL TIMES be under the supervision of a parent/guardian; and

E. I execute this Release for full, adequate and complete consideration, fully intending to be bound by same.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand 

 

 

RANGE RULES AND REGULATIONS

  1. No alcoholic beverages, drugs, or persons who have been consuming those items will be allowed on the range or premises.

  2. Shooter's glasses or tempered glasses must be worn at all times while inside the firing area (prescription glasses excepted).

  3. Hearing protection (muff style only) must be worn at all times while inside firing area.

  4. Children must be supervised at all times while on premises. Children under the age of 10 will not be allowed in the firing area, without express prior permission.

  5. No customer reloads, armor piercing, tracer, or explosive ammunition will be allowed.  

  6. All firearms must be clear with the action open except while actively firing.

  7. All firearms must be clear and bagged or in a container before leaving the firing area.

  8. No person will be allowed forward of the firing line. Contact range staff if assistance is needed.

  9. Only persons who are actively shooting are allowed inside of the firing area.

  10. Only firearms in good working condition are allowed on the firing line. (user is held responsible)

  11. No more than two persons are permitted at each firing lane. Coaching may occur at the permission of range staff.

  12. All fired rounds must impact the bullet trap area. No impact into floor, roof or side walls.

  13. All firearms are subject to inspection at any time by staff.

  14. Rapid fire is permitted with the use of Automatic Weapons. Two Second Rule is in effect for all other rifle calibers only.

  15. All firearms must be pointed down range in a safe manner at all times.

  16. No tobacco use allowed on premises.

  17. Use of black powder firearms is not permitted.

  18. Photo identification required for use of range facilities.

 
 

GUN RENTAL POLICY

  • Current photo identification required.

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Range firearms must be fired with ammunition purchased on the premises.

  • All range rules and regulations must be followed at all times.

  • Any violation of rules and regulations will void your rental without a refund.
