CHAPPELLE GARDENS THRIFT MARKET VENDOR WAIVER - TERMS & CONDITIONS

By registering for a table at the Chappelle Gardens Thrift Market, I acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. Eligibility:
- I am a resident of Chappelle Gardens, and I understand that only residents are permitted to rent tables or clothing racks at this event.
- All items I am selling are my personal property. I will not sell items on behalf of non-residents, businesses, or any outside parties.
- This is a community garage sale-style event, not a commercial market, and is intended for the resale of secondhand personal items only.
- I agree not to sublet, share, or reassign my table to any other party. All individuals present at my table must be registered and approved as part of my booking.

2. Sales & Payments:
- I am solely responsible for managing my own sales and collecting payments (cash, debit, or credit).
- I will bring my own float and/or card processing equipment.
- I understand there is a cash machine available on site, but the organizers are not responsible for payment issues or lack of change.
- I am responsible for pricing my own items and negotiating any deals or discounts as I see fit.

3. Setup & Teardown:
- I may arrive no earlier than 9:00 AM to set up my table.
- I will be fully set up and ready for shoppers by 10:00 AM.
- Sales may not continue past 3:00 PM.
- I agree to remain fully set up until 3:00 PM and will not begin packing up, tearing down, or leaving early.
- No load-out is permitted before 3:00 PM.
- I agree to vacate the premises by 4:00 PM and will leave my space clean and free of garbage or unsold items.
- I am responsible for loading in and out my own items and will bring any necessary equipment (e.g., dolly, hand truck, cart) to assist with transport.
- I understand that this is an indoor event, but weather conditions may affect access and loading, and I accept all risks associated with transporting my items.

4. Rental Limits & Fees:
- I understand that I may rent a maximum of two 6’ tables and one clothing rack, if available.
- Table rentals are $15 each; clothing racks are an additional $5.

- Each table rental includes two chairs and a tablecloth.
- All fees are non-refundable unless the event is canceled by the organizer.

5. Display Space:
- I understand that my display space is limited to the purchased table(s), one clothing rack (if applicable), and no more than 1 foot of space in any direction surrounding my table(s).
- I will not encroach on neighboring vendor space or walkways.
- I will ensure that no part of my setup blocks any emergency exits or fire routes.

6. People at Table & Supervision:
- A maximum of two sellers may be present per table.
- At least one seller must be 18 years of age or older and present at all times.
- Children under the age of 12 must be supervised at all times. Organizers are not responsible for unsupervised children.

7. Prohibited Items:
I agree not to sell or display any of the following prohibited items:
- Alcohol, cannabis, tobacco, or vape products
- Counterfeit or pirated goods
- Food or beverages (homemade or pre-packaged)
- Hazardous materials (chemicals, fireworks, etc.)
- Items with strong odors or excessive wear
- Large furnishings or oversized items (photos may be displayed for private sales)
- Live animals or animal products (e.g., fur, taxidermy)
- Medical equipment or supplies (e.g., prescription medications, syringes, breast pumps, CPAP machines, etc.)
- Offensive or inappropriate content (e.g., hate symbols, adult material)
- Opened or expired personal care products (e.g., lotions, makeup, shampoo)
- Recalled items or items in poor/dangerous condition
- Stolen goods
- Used car seats, helmets, or cribs
- Used undergarments or swimwear
- Weapons (including knives, firearms, or replicas)
I understand that event staff may ask me to remove any prohibited or inappropriate items, and refusal to comply may result in removal from the event without refund.

8. Large Items:
- I will not bring large furnishings or oversized items into the venue.
- I may display photos of such items and arrange private sales outside of the market.

9. Health & Safety:
- I agree not to attend the event if I am feeling unwell or exhibiting symptoms of illness.
- I will follow any public health or venue-specific safety protocols in place at the time of the event.
- I will behave respectfully and courteously toward staff, fellow sellers, and guests.
- I agree to follow the directions of event staff at all times and understand that failure to comply may result in removal from the event without refund.

10. Liability & Indemnity:
- I am responsible for my own belongings, inventory, and money during the event.
- I will not hold the Chappelle Gardens Residents Association, event organizers, volunteers, or venue staff liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged items, personal injuries, or disputes that may arise.
- I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Chappelle Gardens Residents Association, its staff, volunteers, and representatives from any and all claims, damages, or liabilities arising out of my participation in this event.

11. Promotion & Photography:
- I understand that photos may be taken during the event and used for promotional purposes by the organizers.
- If I do not wish to be photographed, I will inform the organizer in advance and avoid photo areas.
- I understand that I may add photos of my items to the facebook event advertising this event (https://www.facebook.com/share/1DubnG2HSK/). I am also encouraged to share the facebook and instagram posts about this event to help drive traffic.

12. Post-Event Donations:
- A donation bin will be available after the event for those who wish to donate any remaining items to Goodwill.
- I agree to carefully place any donated items into the bins to avoid overloading or damaging products.
- I understand that staff may close donation access if bins become full.

13. Emergency Procedures
The renter is responsible for familiarizing themselves and their guests with all fire exits and emergency procedures. A first aid kit is available on-site. In case of emergency, renters must follow CGRA staff instructions.

14. Force Majeure
CGRA is not liable for cancellations due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, power outages, pandemics, facility damage, or government orders. In such cases, CGRA will attempt to reschedule the rental or offer a refund at its discretion.

15. Policy Updates
CGRA reserves the right to update rental policies at any time. The version in effect at the time of rental confirmation will apply.
